I have been in private practice since 1981 working with individuals, couples and families. I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC), a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. I also served as National President of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). In 1988, I was named National Counselor of the year by AMHCA.

I obtained my BSW, M.Ed., and Ed.S. at Kent State University. I did post graduate work at the University of Akron, and spent six years doing specialty training in Albuquerque, NM at Southwest Counseling and Human Development Services.
